Our History
Boman Communications, LLC, grew out of Boman Editing, which was established in 2022.
Our president and founder, Allie Boman, began her journey as a science communicator in 2019, working alongside a seasoned editor for the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine—an experience she likens to apprenticing with a master. Early on, she also took clients of her own as a prime contractor.
Recognizing a growing need for specialized services in public health and environmental policy, Allie established Boman Editing, with expanded editorial services and trusted subcontractors.
And in early 2024, Boman Editing began working with designers and strategists to offer a full suite of communications services for our clients—thus we launched Boman Communications.
We are a one-stop shop for organizations that need expanded or specialized capacity. Our work centers on excellence, trust-building, and engagement—and not by chance. These are the qualities we see as most crucial in the work of communicating science for the public good.
