Challenge

Whitney was tasked with developing a cohesive visual identity for the Spring Flours Gluten-Free Gala, an annual fundraising event supporting the University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center.

The project involved both big-picture branding—creating a logo and overall event aesthetic—and detailed execution across multiple touch points, from invitations and signage to PowerPoint slides and table tents. Since the gala is held annually, the challenge is to keep the branding fresh while maintaining consistency with the Center’s mission.

Approach

For many years, Whitney has built a strong, recognizable event identity using a unified color palette, typography, and visual motifs, in consultation with the event leadership team. Every design element, from raffle boxes to program books, is carefully crafted to ensure a seamless, professional, and inviting experience for attendees.

Result

The final event designs create a polished, cohesive visual experience that reinforce the gala’s mission while feeling modern and engaging. By integrating branding across all event materials, the designs not only enhance the guest experience but also help strengthen the recognition and connection with its audience year after year.
